Pretty Green x The Beatles Glass Onion Liberty Print kaftan shirt, part of the new collaboration celebrating 50 years since the recording and release of the Beatles 1968 album, best known by it's nickname, The White Album.
Inspired by the Beatles 1968 trip to Rishikesh, India and the fashions from the east they popularised in the late 60s, the limited edition Glass Onion Kaftan Shirt is one of the centrepieces of the Pretty Green Beatles White Album collection. Rishikesh was the setting where many of the tracks on the Beatles 1968 White Album were written and as acoustic guitars were the only western instruments available, directly influenced the albums acoustic and back-to-basics approach, in stark contrast to the layered and textured groundbreaking Sgt Pepper's album only a year earlier.
Utilising a unique retro floral and fauna Liberty fabric, this kaftan style shirt features a double button Nehru collar (an essential element of late 60s Dandy fashions), a full button through fasten, button cuff and side vents for fit. In a slightly longer length, this is a faithful homage to the Beatles 1968 style.
