Where did the Pretty Green name come from ?

The name Pretty Green is taken from a the opening track of the seminal Jam album Sound Affects, clearly demonstating a connection between the brand and Mod subculture and style. Erstwhile Jam frontman and mod icon Paul Weller is on record championing Sound Affects as the greatest album by the group, and it it most definitely a vital component of the late 70s and early 80s mod revival movement.
