One of the most unique and unusual fashion trends from the early 70s, and celebrating their 50th anniversary, Moon Boot has relaunched for Autumn & Winter 2019 - The Original Moon Boot, now in stock at Atom Retro. 

On 20th July 2019, Apollo 11 landed on the moon and Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot - or boot - on the moon's surface. Giancarlo Zanatta, a young bootmaker from from Montebelluna, Italy, watched the lunar landings from New York City. Inspired by the unique shape and technology of the astronauts boots, he sketched out the initial ideas for Moon Boot - one of the greatest fashion trends of the early 1970s. The Original Moon Boot was born. 

Since the Early 70s, Moon Boot has represented the symbol of irony, fashion & design. Original spirits feel Moon Boot like the most innovative and revolutionary boot, and a part of their lifestyle. Worn by stars ranging from Cher to Paul McCartney in the 1970s, Moon Boot came back to the fashion forefront in the early 2000s when it was featured in the movie, Napoleon Dynamite. 2019 celebrates 50 years since the Moon Landing and 50 years since Moon Boot launched.
