Hoodies

The origins of the Hoodie comes from a utilitarian garment worn by warehouse workers in 1930s USA. One of the earliest styles was marketed to laborers working in freezing temperatures in upstate New York. It wasn't until the 1990s that the term hoodie entered popular useage. The hoodie did gain popularity in the 1970s thanks to it's affinity to the emerging Hip Hop culture, but perhaps most famously the hoodie garnered popularity thanks to a certain film character, Rocky Balboa.
