This season Hell Bunny have teamed up with Smiley Originals, the iconic French brand, for a collaboration in Hell Bunny's unique style. The results are a limited edition range in some of Hell Bunny's most famous styles - retro mini dresses and 70s pinafore dress, a cropped jacket, and timeless black and white stripe all with the 1970s original Smiley face incorporated into the designs and prints.
Hell Bunny began life in London in 2003, with the aim of combining classic and vintage styles with new fashion trends and prints. Renowned for their cute & quirky prints, the new Smiley collaboration is sure to appeal to Hell Bunny fans and vintage fashion followers alike.
The Smiley Emblem: A Symbol of Positivity and Pop Culture
Smiley Originals iconic emblem - a sunshine yellow circular face with black dot eyes and a wide smile, originated in Paris, France with a young journalist named Franklin Loufrani. In 1971 while working for the newspaper, France-Soir, Loufrani - tired of a constant stream of negative news stories - decided to design a campaign to bring good, positive news to the papers readers. He came up with the idea of placing a yellow smiling face next to positive news stories and fun products featured in the paper. Trademarking the design, the ‘Smiley’ has grown to become a symbol of happiness, positivity and pop culture.
