Pringle
Robert Pringle established Pringle of Scotland in 1815 initially producing hosiery and underwear. The brand began producing cashmere in 1870 and has become synonymous with quality knitwear ever since.
The iconic Scottish Borders based brand gained wider recognition after Otto Weisz was appointed as the first full-time designer in the knitwear industry in 1934 with Pringles of Scotland first utilising the ancient-Scottish Argyle adapted pattern during this period. The brand quickly took off internationally, thanks in part to famous clientele including Brigitte Bardot and Grace Kelly adding a touch of glamour to their cashmere range.
Pringles of Scotland became a golfing favourite in the 1960s and beyond, before becoming a brand of choice on the football terraces for the Mod Casuals in the 1980s.
After more than 200 years in the business Pringles of Scotland are still going strong with flagship stores in London's Mount Street, Edinburgh's George Street, Shanghai and Beijing whilst reaching an ever wider audience thanks to partnerships with other retailers and fashion brands.
Returning to Pringle's roots, Pringle Socks for men combine beautiful design with premium quality.
